Noted Lutheran Divine Dies at 58 in St Paul
Rev. Andrew Schroedel, president of the Minnesota Synod and of the Dr M Luther College board, died Sunday evening at Bethesda hospital after an intestinal illness and operation. A Bavaria native educated at Concordia and Northwestern, he led the synod from St Paul for years. Survived by widow and three children, funeral today with many pastors and college faculty in attendance. The college will be closed Wednesday. Nearby towns report court action against Mrs Belli Gunness estate for 1000 by Samuel Lien.

A young boy accidentally shot his sister Mina Bemichi while handling a loaded firearm. Louie Gagson reportedly held the weapon and pulled the trigger, causing Mina’s death. Police and local officials are investigating the incident as a fatal household accident.

The funeral of Mrs Frank A Day was held in Fairmont after a stroke on Oct 29. Family and friends rode from St Paul on a funeral train car. Governor Johnson’s appointees attended, along with Mrs John A Johogoo and F W Johnson. Born Aug 20 1854 in Roscoe Hill she grew up in Grinnell Iowa and Faribault county. Survived by husband four children and several siblings.
