The Hummel Brothers advertise Thanksgiving attire with affordable boys trousers and coats. Prices listed include suits from 1.45 to 4, overcoats 2.50 to 6, caps and furnishings in stock. The ad promises citywide satisfaction at low costs.
The William Owens company will perform Romeo and Juliet in this city next Thursday November 21. Critics note the play is among the best on stage and the company rarely tours small towns. Promoters urge a large, appreciative audience for a first class production.

John Ringsdorf and William Gingel were struck by an eastbound passenger train as a wagon moved onto the track near Courtland. Ringsdorf had both feet crushed and later had them amputated. Gingel suffered internal injuries and facial injuries but no outward wounds. Both men were taken to hospital after Dr Strickler treated them. The crossing is noted as dangerous and recently unaddressed by a municipal ordinance.
