A local advertiser invites lovers of ties to sell new neckwear. They buy no jabbers but purchase direct from manufacturers. Any string or bow tie offered at 25 cents, Four-in-hand and Imperial styles at 50 cents, with beautiful patterns.
The Minneapolis and St. Louis extension from New Ulm to Estherville opens June 1 with two through trains daily in each direction. The project, begun a year ago and delayed by winter stoppages, will cut fares and shorten travel time to St James and southern Minnesota. Bridges along the route, including ten to twelve large spans, are being pushed for completion by July 10. Stations listed include Searles, Hansken, La Salle, St James, Ebola, Ormsby, Montery, Sherburn, De Sota, Huntington, and Estherville.
The Duluth Morris convention praised free trade with Porto Rico while nominating a candidate who opposed it, lampooning the Republican platform for incongruity.
