Ninety Brown County men drafted last Saturday left New Ulm by M. & St. L. amid a hero’s sendoff. West End and Sleepy Eye clubs joined Red Cross contingents in a half hour parade to the station, with Alonzo Pickle leading the Sleepy Eye group as flag bearer. The men head to Camp Lewis, American Lake, Washington, before later shipping to France, eager to see America first.
