The Citizens State Bank moved its operations to a new modern building opposite their former site on Minnesota Street. The facility features a marble vestibule, high windows, a large lobby, private rooms for public and ladies, reinforced concrete vaults with burglar alarms, and premium finishes in Cathedral Oak and Carrara marble. Built for utility and comfort, the bank costs between 45000 and 50000 dollars with Nordyke Marmon of Minneapolis as architects and builders. The institution traces back to 1875 and shows a strong regional role with deposits over 1.5 million.

Fire damages German Methodist church building
