Nationwide need for big potato crop urged by Minnesota extension

Young Men Sought for Army Officers Training Camps

Mayor L A Fritsche reports from the Military Training Camps Association inviting young men to apply for candidateship in the officers reserve corps. Camps open May 8 with War Department authorization. Locations include Fort Benjamin Harrison Fort Sheridan Fort Snelling Fort Riley. Up to 2,500 per camp. three month training ending with officer appointments for one regiment. Also notes talks of a Home Guard and a mass meeting to form a war committee for food production cooperation.
