Ft Ridgely Defender Dennis O Shea Dies at Home
Dennis O Shea prominent in Nicollet County history died of cancer on the bottom road near Ft Ridgely. He served at Fort Ridgely during the 1862 Indian Massacre and was known for bravery and neighborly help. Survived by his widow Mary children, funeral held at Ft Ridgely, burial in local cemetery.
