Turners Arrange Athletic Program For Convention Guests

The Stately Farmers Club proposes a joint Brown and Redwood county Farmers Club fair with exhibits of grains vegetables fruits sewing cooking and canning. Senator L E Potter urged clubs to unite for a central fall fair and premiums to boost local participation. August G Meyer longtime Mankato mayor dies at hospital after gallstone surgery. Born 1853 in Hanover he came to America 1868 and to Mankato 1886. A Democrat turned Republican, he led the city since 1909 for most terms and was Minnesota’s first mayor under a commission system. He belonged to several fraternal orders. widow and ten children survive. City council to choose successor.
