Catholic Society Completes Drive Initiation of 37 Members
The St Joseph Society completed its state drive by initiating 37 new members including 23 from New Ulm, nine from Searles, and eight from West Newton. Nearly 600 attended as Grand Council members and Rev Schlinkert presided. A two hour program followed by lunch showcased music, solos, and a Swabian theme.

Republicans File for Convention in Brown County
Republicans file for the county convention to be held in Sleepy Eye on March 18 with forty eight delegates named by Monday morning. Local firm buys St. Paul concern moves equipment here
Frenzel Brothers completed a 0.2 deal with G. F. W. Wohler of St. Paul to acquire the Propto business. The New Ulm Bottling Works will move Wohler’s plant to New Ulm this week, with Wohler teaching operation of flavoring extracts. The firm plans to market Propto line in kegs and bottles and later expand to adjoining states.
