New Ulm Hosts Milwaukee Visitors With City Welcome
Nearly a hundred Milwaukee merchants and manufacturers visited New Ulm on Friday. They arrived by special train at 10 45 am and toured the milling district and downtown, pausing at Hermann's monument before lunch at Schell's. Speeches by Gen Bobleter John H Moss and B G Ellsworth followed. The party then met local dealers and moved on to Mankato for an evening banquet as the train departed. The occasion featured songs and cheers for Minnesota Milwaukee and its open-hearted citizens.
