Hertman Held has gained control of the billboard advertising business in New Ulm. Previously H Griebel Jr of Mankato held local shares as secretary of the State Hillpastors association. Friday the deal closed and Held owns all city bill boards. He plans to use their number in the spring. Public Examiner Johnson recommends an investigation into P A Gunders former Blue Earth county auditor amid alleged warrant irregularities from 1895 to 1900. The county board adopted a resolution directing a full audit by the county attorney auditor and treasurer to recover any misappropriated funds and pursue legal action. Gunders, once in New Ulm, was summoned to the public examiner and removed from office.
Twenty four New Ulm women joined Mrs. Augusta Seiter for a Saturday whist outing in Winthrop. New faces loom with George Glotzbach among possible entrants while Brown county competitive races begin to take shape.
