P. H. Dyckman & Co at the State Bank of Sleepy Eye makes a real estate loan at 51 and 6 percent with privilege of repayment before maturity. The firm outlines terms and repayment options under the new credit arrangement.
The New Ulm council met Tuesday with most members present. Henry Engel qualified as fire marshal. Liquor license transfer from Albin Carlson to Frank L. Peterson approved. City warrants on rights and directories authorized. a $5 payment authorized for a directory copy. Building permit granted Franz Vogel. Boiler insurance renewed for three years at $75 per year. Bank bid for city deposits rejected. new bids to be sought. Streets sprinkling plan referred to public works. Street light petition referred to rights committee. Library funding petition laid aside. Sewer extension on Centre Street referred to public works for cost and feasibility. Bills totaled $671.71.

Admission is 25 cents. Several local notices follow including estate matters, a university board appointment for Dr C C Strickler, a masquerade at Milford Club hall, and a Knights of Pythias anniversary ball slated for March 11 at Turner hall. The issue promotes theatrical entertainment at the opera house February 17 and an employment ad for a sales position in Chicago.
