Jury Deadlock in Engel Case Highlights Court Week

In Olgen's court last week the Engel versus Chicago & Northwestern case ended in a hung jury after nearly thirty hours of deliberation. The Kraus versus Kraus trial concluded with a $182 verdict for Anna Kraus amid family tensions. The Wooldrick suit against the Sasses collapsed when defense records showed only half the claimed land was owned. Several cases were dismissed or settled, including Wagner versus Kelm and Fritsche versus Citizens Bank. Emma Johnson closed her Hanska millinery, August Ringling died in New Orleans, and deer and moose harvests were reported by Minnesota officials.
