New Ulm health officials and city leaders debated creating a municipal slaughterhouse and meat inspection regime. Legal limits block a city abattoir though officials seek state or dealer permits to enable local slaughter and stricter sanitation while considering garbage disposal and alley supervision.
Henry Rudelphi gains reconveyance of land after the Minnesota Supreme Court affirms the lower court finding fraud in the 1911 Wisconsin deal. The decision upholds that Rudelphi was induced by false representations despite viewing the property before the exchange. The case, argued by Chas. B. Bik- (sic)ott and firms Reed & Swift, Schall & Brown, concluded that fraud existed and a new trial was not needed.

The New Alm hicote High School plans an inaugural interscholastic debate with nine candidates listed. Student debaters include Krook Hi Hecklenberg Wait Walter Scherer Elizabeth Dougher Ferdinand Ochs Olita Niemann Marguerite Keegan Josephine Fredricks and John Woebke under Mr. Lewis. The best three will advance to a state league contest, with possible second team trials against a neighboring town to sharpen rebuttal and debate standards.
