Adjourned for final incorporation terms and a December 12 meeting. a solicitor appointment was discussed with E. J. Buehrer. The death of Mr. Wm. Manweiler of Nicollet was announced with funeral plans at Courtland Evangelical Church.

Judge Plad Rules Berkner Bros Win In Chattel Mortgage Case
Judge A R Plad of Mankato on Saturday ruled in Berkner Bros vs Wm Schmits and related Berkner Bros actions that Berkner Bros are entitled to personal property purchased at a public auction. The ruling found the chattel mortgage defective for not being properly witnessed and not giving notice to defendants. The cases were tried together at the last term before Judge Pfau due to disqualification of Judge Olsen. Frank Cartwright lent Willis Cunningham a chattel mortgage on horses and other property. Isteron gave a second mortgage to Berkner Bros which was defective. Cunningham agreed to sell the property at public auction and remit proceeds to him, and the defendants bought the property at the auction.
