Ex Sleepy Eye Man Dies By His Own Hand
The coroner ruled a self inflicted death after a man found with a pocket note and letters. The body was taken to Landhamer Brothers for burial as next of kin Mrs. Edward Enfield of North Front Street confirmed his despondency. The deceased, 47, formerly worked as a printer for Pioneer Press and Duluth Herald, leaves a wife in St Paul. The note to the press identifies him as William J Eich of 148 George Street, St Paul, stating weariness of life and grind.
