Large Jubilee Meet Draws Thousands in Wisconsin-Arizona
About 7,000 people attended the Dr Martin Luther College campus Jubilee marking the 25th anniversary of the Evangelical Lutheran Teachers Seminary and the Arizona Indian Mission. The 16th bi annual conference of the Evangelical Lutheran Joint Synod of North America opened last Wednesday and closed last night with German and English services. Revs Bodamer and Schaller preached in the morning. C. H Koch and E Guenther spoke in the afternoon along with Jack Keyes, who recalled the early days at Fort Apache and St. Carlos reservations. The synod elected Bergemann as president and named Westendorf Meyer Hinnenthal Nommen son and Groebner to key posts. Reconstruction work dominated doctrinal talks at St Pauls church.
