Fatal Accident Near Sigel Claims Farmer Wenzel Kraal

A front threshing machine accident in Sigel fatally injured Wenzel Kraal, 38, a Brown County native. He slipped under the machine’s tracks while mounting, died next morning. He leaves a wife and seven children. funeral held at the Catholic church.

Two Farmers Fined in Bar Room Fight at Union Hall

August Havemeyer and William Rehse, both Swan Lake farmers, clashed with Cap Nemo in the Union Hall bar. Nemo defended himself and was discharged. The defendants paid fines of 25 dollars plus about 34 dollars in costs after a Monday morning trial before Judge Henningsen.
