Fairfax Satisfied With Terms In Minnesota Central Dispute

Defense Attys See Strengthened Case for Koch Trial

As the second trial of Dr. G R Koch nears, defense lawyers W D Abbott and A F Clark lingered in the city, saying little but noting a much clearer case with “important circumstances” to aid an acquittal. The state claims new and strengthened evidence pointing to conviction, while detectives reportedly weigh fresh material that may implicate another party. Trial is set for the 19th at Mankato with numerous witnesses subpoenaed for the 22nd.

Easter Bonnets Attract Women In City Millinery Opening

Last Wednesday four millinery shops opened their stock to city and surrounding ladies. Windows and interiors appeared metropolitan with artistically designed hats at reasonable prices. Red and green dominate this year with new onion shade and blues drawing admiration. Hats outside the picture style are smaller and color combinations varied. Music and dainty souvenirs accompanied sales, and shops planned restocking after an unusually brisk evening.

The show depicts El Aguila as the last Montezuma descendant, a regal yet slave figure, with lavish costumes and scenery.
