Mills Begin Extensive Enlargement at Local Mills
Mills commence enlarging work as Eagle Mills and New Ulm Roller Mills invest about $60,000 for upgrades this summer. Eagle Mills adds a 500 hp turbine, replaces boilers, and doubles capacity at the Corn and Rye mill. New Ulm plans cereal mill expansion to 150 barrels daily. A new warehouse, 15 by 74 feet, will be built by Weilandt & Stegemann.

History In The Making At Old Union School
Two weeks remain before the old Union School Building disappears under Nelson Construction Co supervision led by foreman T Thompson. A crew of twenty four tears out interiors and salvages materials for reuse in the new structure and other company projects. The big school bell is saved for memories and stored away to avoid roof damage. More relics and old papers surface as portions of bygone days are unearthed during demolition.

Lecture on Liquid Air Delights German Methodist Audience
