Three Plead Guilty To Larceny Charge
Wallace Allen of Bend Oregon Benny Beale and Bert Conger of Fruitland faced grand larceny charges for stealing wool from Milton Nesbitt. The state failed to prove value over $60, the case was dismissed and they pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Allen and Beale received 30 days each in county jail and Conger 90 days.

Mrs Lynch Hosts Two Social Events at West Town Home
Mrs. Lynch entertained for her visiting relatives and hosted a large Catholic Altar Society breakfast and a 2:30 to 6 reception. Seventeen members attended the morning breakfast and fifty ladies joined the afternoon reception with music by local performers. Montana Land Office May Stay in Great Falls
James Roberts collector of customs in Great Falls received a Treasury Department letter indicating a recommendation to suspend indefinitely the presidential order closing the Great Falls land office. The order would have abolished the Montana district on September 17 and consolidated it with North Dakota, while Idaho would join Washington.

Pioneer Passes Mrs J Nesbitt at Nesbitt Ranch Near New Plymouth
Mrs. J Nesbitt Mary Jane Stuart Nesbitt died at her ranch home near New Plymouth on Friday September 4 after a five day illness. Born February 5 1857 in Canton Illinois she lived in Humphrey Missouri before teaching in Idaho and Utah. She married John F Nesbitt August 20 1882 and had seven children. Funeral services were held at the Payette Episcopal church with the Rebekah lodge assisting at the grave.
