Boy Band Gives Last Outdoor Concert

Teacher Entertains Fourth Grade at Mrs Smock’s Home
Miss Beryl Downs entertained thirty three fourth grade students Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 at the home of Mrs Anna Smock. The lawn was lit with multicolored Japanese lanterns. Each guest wore a bright paper cap. Ice cream and cake were served and lawn games were played.

Chicken Thieves Busy Hit Fruitland Chickens
E P Nokes of Fruitland and a nearby neighbor reported thefts Monday night from their chicken houses. Losses ranged from 126 to 150 chickens, Nokes owning Plymouth Rock hens and the neighbor Rhode Island Reds. Tuesday evening Noble Parsons near Payette also lost 60 chickens with others affected nearby. Dogs at both homes created a disturbance at night but the thefts were only noticed in the morning.

Conz Schmid Couple Arrive in New Plymouth for Home

Floods washed out nine main line bridges and two Sunnyside branch bridges on the Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad between Verde and Cender, 150 miles east of Salt Lake City. Fruitland Man Charged With Grand Larceny In Wool Theft
Bert Conger of Fruitland was arrested last week on grand larceny charges for allegedly stealing a bag of wool valued at 100 dollars from Milt Nesbit. The wool was found in an old well south of Fruitland. Wallace Allen, tied to the same case, was arrested in Bend Oregon and returned to Payette unable to make bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Friday or Saturday. Couger posted 1500 dollars bond.
