Despondent retiree ends life in Greenmount home
Robert A. Harner 61 a retired railroader and former Greenmount farmer shot himself at his Harney, Maryland home Sunday afternoon. Distraught over ill health after strokes he told his wife he would lie down. He died about 16 minutes later with a bullet in his head and jaw. Survived by his widow Lovie Shriver three daughters and one son.
