Robert Wilson Fiddler, 21, of 16 Center Square, New Oxford, is in default of bond on larceny and receiving stolen goods charges after a Tuesday hearing. Apprehended Monday by State Trooper James Treas, he led Hanover police to hub cap thefts from parked cars across town, used to recruit two 16 year old boys for the thefts. action against the juveniles is pending.

Adams County reports its first polio case in two years. A 25 year old mother of two from Reading Township, Mrs. June Livingston of East Berlin R D was hospitalized after polio suspicion with a non paralytic type and is described as improving. Her two children have had anti polio shots. Mrs Livingston had not. Doctor Roos noted improvement as of Tuesday.

A 65 year old Dillsburg area woman Mabel Groscost and 70 year old William Krider were injured Friday in a York collision. They were passengers in a car driven by Daniel Groscost when it collided with a tractor trailer owned by General Bay and Burlap Company Philadelphia driven by Eugene Anderson of Philadelphia. Damages about 150 dollars.
The documentary The Battle of Gettysburg will play at the Majestic Theater from September 13 to 18. Filmed in Gettysburg, it was written and produced by Dore Schary and directed by Herman Hoffman. The film previously screened in New York and is acclaimed as a short subject masterpiece likely to win an Academy Award.
