Nine Gitle' Clubs To Get Gold Seals
A report on 117 girls in 1842 foods clothing and homemakers clubs across county communities from June to August was presented by Mildred L. Adams. About 98 percent completed projects, with nine of twelve clubs earning gold seals for 100 percent completion and most members receiving blue or red ribbons.

Teachers Offered Post Graduate Work
Dr. Robert A. Bream announced Adams county teachers can take post graduate courses in teacher education this winter. Gettysburg college courses run Monday or Wednesday 7 to 8 pm with two to three credits each at $10 per credit. Registration is Sept 24 at 7 pm in Glatfelter Hall Room 100. Extension courses from Shippensburg State Teachers College may include social studies math or English.

Harold Rummel son of Clarence Rummel of Gettysburg Harrisburg road received his discharge from the army last Friday at Ft Meade Maryland. He entered service August 1 1942 and spent 25 months overseas with a radio maintenance unit of the Eighth Air Force. He returned to the United States June 2 and had a total of 92 points.
