Florida trucker and driver ordered to pay damages in Gettysburg crash
Adams county jury set 493.58 as the damages two Canadian tourists must be paid for a crash in Gettysburg. Plaintiffs David M Nesbitt and David J Nesbitt testified their car was parked when struck by the Florida tractor-trailer operated by James A Varnadoe Jr and driven by James Franklin Feeman. Jury foreman Charles H Drum led a 15 minute deliberation.

Miller Admitted to Pennsylvania Supreme Court
G. Thomas Miller, son of Dr and Mrs George R Miller of Gettysburg Route 2, was sworn in as an attorney before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Philadelphia on Monday. A Gettysburg College 1943 graduate and Dickinson School of Law 1948 alum, he previously worked as a law clerk for Attorney Edward B Bullett and now serves as a legal assistant to Judge Robert E Woodside of Dauphin County Common Pleas in Harrisburg.
