Chester Gravatt 56 of Wilder Idaho died November 9 at Veterans Hospital Boise after a brief illness. He was born October 25 1885 in Chester Ions and married Anna Staub in New Oxford in 1923. He worked as a chain welder in New Oxford before moving to Idaho. Surviving wife Anna, and several relatives. Henry J Shrader 91 of New Oxford died at Hanover Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired cigarmaker and active in Sacred Heart Church and veterans groups. He is survived by nine children and many grandchildren. Valentine Laughman 63 of Abbottstown R1 died at his home. He was a Hanover Church of the Brethren member, survived by his wife Martia and multiple children and grandchildren. Harry Edward Serff 60 of Dover died at York Hospital while employed at Fulton Mendring Beuser Inc. Survived by widow and numerous children and grandchildren. Mrs J L Rea dead at Scranton. former Adams County rural teacher. Also listed are other local notices and funeral details.
The Women's Fellowship of East Berlin Evangelical United Charge led by Rev Alton Leister will conduct an annual thankoffering service at St John Church New Chester at 730 PM. Speaker will be Mrs Hannah Maurer Red Lion president of the Symedest Guild. Music by the combine choir and director.
A jury acquitted Merle Kime in a drunken driving case after agreeing with his companions that he was not drunk and discounting testimony from Dr. B C Jones who said Kime was stuporously drunk. The trial, held after an August 23 collision near Bendersville, resulted in costs assessed to the trucking firm owner.
The 1953 Plymouth models will be shown to the public November 20 at Mummers Garage Abbottstown Street under George E. and Elmer Grummer. Officials say the new line features a streamlined exterior, enhanced interiors, more horsepower, and radical engineering for safer easier driving, with a lower price and more room.

Monthly meetings planned for the second Sunday at 2 pm in the school auditorium with social hours hosted by a parish each time. Delone has been accepted by the Middle States Association of Secondary School. executive committee formed with parish reps. Next meeting set for December 13.
The Society of St Vincent De Paul donated books to the Church of Immaculate Conception for the local library. New Oxford Library now has over 500 patrons with 350 books circulated in October. The library hours are Wednesday 7 9 pm and Friday 3 5 pm for Adams County residents to enroll and borrow. Librarians are Mrs George E Sheffer and Mass Mae Gilbert.
Lilor Shus of College Perk Md was apprehended for driving too fast for conditions on November 18. Reuben C. Showers of Biglerville and Laurence J. Myers of High Street Benover were charged with driving too fast for conditions on November 18. Leer W Wise of Hed Lion was charged with driving too fast for conditions on November 16. MP Noel, chief of police of New Oxford borough, reported the arrests. Morris Githn of Gettysburg joined the Central Pennsylvania chapter of the Institute of Security and Steeling, announced Saturday with Edwin C Barringer as executive vice president.

Dean and Albers F. Candelma for damages. Witnesses described the collision and injuries to Mrs Isabelle Noce and Carl Noce Jr.
