Three Injured In $6 500 Accident Near New Oxford
A car owned by Hilly Rife Inc New Oxford left Berlin Road two miles east of town at 1 15 Sunday morning and hit a Metropolitan Edison pole and fence posts. Driver John Bechtel Jr 38 and passengers Jeanne Bechtel 14 and Larry Eugene Rife 16 were hospitalized after the crash. Damage totaled about 6500 to the car 106 to the pole and 100 to the fence.

Ex Teacher C L Gentzier Dies at 67 in East Berlin
Charles L Gentzier 67 retired educator and businessman died Saturday at Hanover General Hospital after a five decade career. He taught at Meade Lincoln and Keelauver schools before joining his brother in the DUS feed and warehouse business. He served on East Berlin National Bank board and was a former Sunday School superintendent and church council member at Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by wife Ruth and son Kenneth plus three sisters. Interment followed in East Berlin Union Cemetery.
