Edward Culver Wins New Oldsmobile at Gettysburg Lion Club

Hull Farm Keeps Hull Name Since 1749 in Lancaster Area

The Hull farm on the Carlisle pike one mile north of the Bethlehem quarry tracked through generations from Abraham Hall who received a 100 acre grant on June 9 1749. The land shifted from Lancaster to Adams county and passed via Abraham Hull to Henry Nicholas Peter Jacob Emmanuel Luther and Howard Hull now in Dayton Ohio. The Pigeon Hills nearby are linked to pigeons that once darkened the sun. A blacksmith shop once operated on the property serving local tribes.

Thanksgiving treat planned for Paradise Protectory boys and sisters

McSherrystown residents organize the annual Thanksgiving event for the Paradise Protectory Abbottstown. Inquest Planned Tuesday Into Hanover Bicycle Fatality

York County Coroner Lester J. Sell will hold an inquest Tuesday at the Hanover Fire Company engine house into the death of 13 year old Robert E. Myers of Hanover. The Hanover Junior High student was struck by a horse on Centennial avenue after his bicycle hit the animal and was thrown against a passing People's Coal Co truck led by John A. Little. He died at Hanover Hospital from a basal skull fracture and internal injuries.
