Eighth Grade Test 1s Announced for Adams County
Letters announcing the first eighth grade examination were mailed to teachers and principals. The exam for regular eighth graders will be given this Thursday with two 30 minute parts. Teachers will score and report results by November 29. A second exam is set for February 15 1940 and the high school entrance test for May 4 1940.

Registration Changes Possible After December 8

Four Hurt in Crash Near Bittinger on Carlisle Pike
Four occupants of a Baltimore car were injured in a two vehicle collision about 10 PM Friday on the Carlisle pike three miles north of Hanover. Vernon Keys drove off the road. M F Crabbs' vehicle struck him from the rear after dropping a passenger. Rodriguez, Fuckerman, Keys, and Curzi sustained injuries with Rodriguez treated at Hanover General Hospital.

Auto Strikes Wall After Near Miss on Gettysburg Road
John E. Slusser, 24, of Hanover Route 4, struck a concrete wall near Mrs. James Leister’s residence on the Gettysburg Littlestown highway. Slusser sustained a bruised right hand while Catherine E. Little, 19, driver of the other car, escaped injury. Cunningham swerved to avoid the crash after a close pass. Officer Yemzow continues the investigation.
