Divorce Ruling Dismisses Libel in Pierce Case
Adams county court delivered a six page ruling Saturday on the divorce case of Ethel L Oyler Pierce of Gettysburg against Raymond Pierce of Baltimore. The libel is dismissed at Mrs Pierce’s cost with 60 days to amend charges. desertion not proven may allow other grounds for separation. The court also paroled Ray M Black on a separate breaking and entering and larceny matter and noted township payments due in the county totals listed.

No One Hurt in Mishap Near Abbottstown
Two cars collided on the Lincoln highway about five o'clock Friday afternoon near Abbottstown. Officer George Evanko said he will file a charge of failing to yield the right of way against Clayton Fissel of Abbottstown R.1 before Justice Ray Sponseller. Clara P. Riley of Chester, Pa., said Fissel pulled from a side road and drove into her westbound vehicle.

Snyder was reelected president of the Past Presidents' Association of the Patriotic Order Sons of America in Adams County at the annual meeting in Arendtsville hosted by Washington camp No. 453. F. Harmon Furney of Gettysburg began work Monday as a substitute clerk at the Gettysburg post office. He was appointed from the eligible list he led with a 972 percent rating and may serve as substitute carrier when needed. The appointment fills in due to Lu ther BE. McDonnell’s extended illness. Furney graduated Gettysburg High School in 1934 as valedictorian and attended Gettysburg College.

Brothers Fined for Out of Season Deer and Racoon Violations
Brothers John H Showers and Melvin G Showers of Menallen township paid 216.95 in fines after Game Protector R C Anderson and state officers found deer meat and a raccoon skin on their property. Both admitted taking game out of season. John shot a deer last Friday and Melvin a raccoon. John fined 100 for illegal deer meat and Melvin 100 plus 10 for a protected pelt.
