The interior of the New Oxford post office has been handsomely redecorated with other improvements completed. Mrs. J. W. Stock of Pitt street is seriously ill. Harry Hoffnagle, who moved to Sunbury last spring from near Brush Run, returned with his family this week and will occupy John Kenny's home in Mount Pleasant township. Ralph Miller on East High street held 1,224 tickets and was awarded the gold watch given by Ed. T. Auker. Mrs. Joseph Sheely of Centennial is a patient at Dr. Shope's Sanitarium in Harrisburg. A huckster named Curtis E F Diehl on Pitt street entered a customer's yard.

Easter Egg Hunt at New Oxford Public School
A large crowd of children joined an Easter egg hunt on the New Oxford public school grounds with sixty dozen eggs distributed. The event was conducted by the Hanover post of the American Legion led by Carl Stough and teammates. Chilly weather followed Easter services held across New Oxford churches.

Death of Levi Cromer 90 in Arendtsville
Levi Cromer 90 died at his home in Arendtsville Saturday evening after a long illness. He was born in York County and lived in Latimore township before moving to Arendtsville in 1901. He recalled Gettysburg and met Lincoln at the dedication of the national cemetery in 1863. Surviving are one daughter, three sisters, one brother, and five grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at 2 from his home with Rev. Ernest W. Brindle officiating. Interment Fair View cemetery, Arendtsville.
