Adams County Industry Recovers With 1934 Gains

Adams county shows production valuation rising by 13 percent from 1933 to 1934 and wages and salaries increasing about 19 percent. Industrial plants number 103 with 4,889 total employees. capital investment hits nearly 6 million. Leather and rubber products dominate with more than 40 percent of output including 4,501,200 shoes and 4,816,600 from the class.

Absence alleged in Adams County estate case

Nine Gettysburg residents arrested for disorderly conduct

Nine Gettysburg and Adams county residents were arrested on drunkenness and disorderly conduct by Gettysburg police Saturday afternoon and evening. The arrestees included Belford Speelman Lloyd Speelman Joseph T. Galbraith S J Bobo J E Cullison Jesse Cullers Augustus Fleshman Norris Jacobs and Stanley Marshall. All but Fleshman Jacobs and Marshall paid fines of one dollar and costs before Justice John C. Shealer.
