Five Months In Jail For Stealing Hides
Irvin Miller 22 Hanover sentenced to not less than five nor more than a year in Adams county jail after pleading guilty to larceny of hides and furs valued at 500 dollars from a Pennville dealer. Brother Walter and Lester Kump received one year probation. Other defendants including Shriver and Gettsyburg residents faced probation, fines, or jail as sentences were handed down in Harrisburg area court. A Newark-based company sought removal of an Assumpsit action to federal court for 10,000 dollars while tax levies were approved in Franklin and Straban townships. A large farm sale listing livestock and equipment followed, with sale at noon and 12-month terms.

Student Draws Suspended Sentence in Gettysburg Forgery Case
