The air conditioned showroom offers demonstrations of Philco appliances such as the new electric range with broiling under glass and a free gift for all attendees.
Abbottstown Community Bible School will close its sessions Friday evening June 30 in the Lutheran church Sunday School rooms at 8:00. Rev. L J Rarschner and Rev A C Rohroaugh lead the closing. departments present demonstrations. certificates awarded for seven of ten sessions. Final session Friday morning ends with a community drink at 11:00. Children bring a tight hunch. Ice cream cookies and drinks provided. Open to the public.
Lew Oxford of Adams County League eliminated Emmitsburg in the National Baseball Congress district tourney at Littlestown Moncevere Ring by a 3-2 score. Harmer and J Staub pitched for New Oxford in a tight game, with Warthen and Topper bunting for Emmitsburg. New Oxford broke the deadlock with two runs in the sixth before Emmitsburg scored a run in the ninth. The Marranagers outhit New Oxford 7-5.

Dale C Wolf age 17, son of Mr and Mrs Russell S Wolf of York, died of meningeal meningitis at York Hospital after six hours in care. He was a Grace Lutheran Church member and a Prinzess Davis Junior High School graduate. Survived by parents, two brothers, and other relatives. Private funeral services held for adult relatives at Edward W Baumesster funeral home with burial at Mt Rose cemetery.
The Happy Ramblers Club of McSherrystown filed Articles of Incorporation with Adams County Prothonotary Warne K. Shields, represented by J. Francis Lake Jr. The group aims to own property and operate an athletic field and motorcycle test track to promote athletics and motorcycling. Four officers named: George Wees president James A. Klunk vice president Lloyd P. Langenman secretary and Blanton Sterner treasurer. Incorporators include Earl J. Martz Robert Hoover and Lloyd B. Warner. Gettysburg opens a new Service Parking Center at the central entrance near Hotel Gettysburg Carlisle Street. The modern facility provides full service by trained attendants, flood lighting, and restrooms, accommodating 209 cars for farmers, businessmen, tourists and guests.
Raymond J. and Mars G. Huffnagel of Conewaro township fled with the prothonotary amid a clash over a 12 foot right of way to access garages. The case centers on a 65 year old established passage blocked by neighbor Martin. An inquest into the death of Mrs. Myers will be held at the Adams county courthouse this Wednesday afternoon. The coroner reports she suffered fractures and internal injuries after being struck by a southbound car near Route 94. Funeral services are planned for Monday at 10 o'clock from the W. A. Feiser funeral home.
Mr and Mrs John F Starner celebrate fifty years of marriage with a Sunday reception for 35 guests. Daughter Mrs H T Lorenz of Harrisburg and son Charles Starner of Haddonfield attend along with families. The couple wed June 2 1900 in Carnatana.
Edwin Young Jr and Gloria Lucene Ecker of Gest bu obtained a marriage license in York. Raymond William Smith, son of Mr and Mrs Linus Smith of Geirsburg, and Agnes Lorietta Scherm of Ge ure RB were granted licenses. Earl Leo Noel of Hanover R4 and Mary Jane Orncoff of Gettysburg R3 also received licenses.

Lawrence Joseph Bunty, 32, a respected McSherrystown resident, was found dead in his brother and sister’s home in McSherrystown. Dr. C. G.
