Adams County board creates eight school nursing areas
The Adams County board of school directors established eight nursing areas at a special meeting in the courthouse to implement Act 403 for health examinations of elementary students. The plan seeks county funds to pay salaries for new nurses and aims to begin before the fall term, with anticipated state reimbursement next year. The eight geographic areas cover dozens of rooms and hundreds of pupils with weekly rural coverage and several one room schools visited daily.
