York Telephone to Acquire Bell Lines in York
The York Telephone and Telegraph plans to take over Bell Telephone lines for 324000 with Public Service Commission approval sought Thursday afternoon. No opposition arose. Local York service will be abandoned though long distance connections will remain. Wills for David Tower and Susan E. L. Hankey filed. Katherine T. Keller named executrix and I. G. Lower executor.
