Hanover Man Theo Shriver Found Dead In Woods
The body of Theo Shriver, 44, found Tuesday afternoon in the little woods east of the Levy silk mill in Hanover, is believed to be a suicide. A 32 calibre revolver with one chamber discharged was found near the corpse, the bullet passing through the heart. Shriver had been missing since Monday morning. his wife had suspected nothing and planned to travel to Taneytown to search for him. He was an employee at J. Walter Robrbaugh’s planing mill. The body was identified by his wife upon arrival at the scene. He leaves a wife and several children and is said to have suffered a serious bout of blood poisoning last spring. There are two sons, Norman and Harry, and four stepchildren, plus siblings.

Binder horses run away near Pines church field
Five horses attached to the binder owned by James Millhimes near Pines church bolted on Monday forenoon after a thunder crack.
