A jubilee mass at St. James' church Steelton commemorated 26 years of service by Rev. Fr. J. C. Thompson. The Harrisburg bishop Rt Rev P R McDevitt led the service. Joseph P. Brady died in Hanover Tuesday afternoon from acute indigestion after dinner. He was 57, son of the late Samuel Brady and Margaret Brady. Married May 26, 1889 to Catherine Harman, he leaves children Fran X and Margaret and Charles at home, Olive in Washington D C, and brothers Stanley of Hanover John of Abbottstown and Eugene of Washington D C.

Runaway Boy From Protectory Returned to Authorities
Julian Hayes aged 12 ran away from the Paradise Protectory near Abbottstown. He was captured and handed to police by T. A. Stebbins of York after being found to have been at the protectory only since Monday. He had come from Burnham Pennsylvania, his home town, and was turned over to E. G. Altland under Mother Detta's direction.

Soldier's Case T Opened For Private Meechley Rites
The hermetically sealed casket of Private William H. Meechley, who died of pneumonia in France during World War I, was opened in Hanover by funeral director George B. Thomas at the family's request. The body was identified by his neck tag, resealed, and later honored in a military funeral on Sunday with a caisson bearing colors. Harold H. Bair Post American Legion led the ceremonies, drawing perhaps the largest Hanover crowd for a reinterment.

A unknown man entered the home of William Arnold between Gettysburg and Biglerville on a Saturday evening. He forced 19 year old Fannie Arnold to reveal valuables, struck her, and threatened to kill her if she called for help. The intruder escaped before officers found leads. he is described as about 40 years old, unshaven, ragged, and possibly a county man. The family and neighbors report little prior contact with him.

Giant 25 000 Pound Dynamite Blast At Bethlehem Mines
A 25 000 pound dynamite blast at the Bethlehem mines and quarries near Rittingers went off Monday night before 6 o clock, shaking areas for miles. Fifty holes each 65 feet deep and 6 inches in diameter held the powder, fired by an electric contact. Four blasts yearly. One quarry wall collapsed, releasing 80 000 tons of rock and dirt, leaving a three month labor impact for workers.
