She is described as much improved after leaping from a observatory tower on Culp s Hill Tuesday afternoon April 21 per hospital staff.
Arthur L. Weaver of Astoria and Miss Catherine Strickland of Astoria were married at St Patrick’s church on April 26. Weaver, son of Mrs. Corrine Weaver of New Oxford, has worked in New York City for five years. The couple are now living in a newly furnished Astoria apartment.

Carroll G. Eline of McSherrystown and Grace Ferri of Hanover were married Saturday morning at Grace Lutheran parsonage in Westminster by the associate pastor Rev. J Hess Belt. Attendants were Miss Ella Hoke and Michael Shank.
Several New Oxford youths escaped serious injury when a car they rode in overturned on a curve near New Freedom after the accelerator failed. Francis Weaver and Albert Kuhn suffered the worst injuries including a deep arm laceration and a wrenched back. others suffered shock and minor burns.
Sterling Cromwell formerly of Straban township now in Maryland was released on $500 bail for a Saturday afternoon hearing before Justice of the Peace John Shearer. Officer George B Aughinbaugh arrested him on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses for allegedly signaling ownership of livestock tied to a $250 February 1935 loan from Gettysburg Production Credit Association.

James Calvin Sauble of Square Corners died at his home Friday evening at 73. He was the son of Amos and Susanna Sauble, survived by his widow Laura Biddle, two daughters Mrs. Henry Straley and Mrs. Lou Orndorff, a son Emory Sauble, ten grandchildren, and six nephews as pallbearers. He belonged to St Luke's Lutheran Church. funeral Tuesday with burial at Mt Carmel Cemetery Littlestown.
Beverly Ann Gemmill aged 16 months died Monday at Hanover hospital after two weeks as a patient of meningoitis. Survived by Harold and Gladys Gemmill, grandparents John Hemler Hanover and Margaret Gemmill Sunnyburn, with maternal grandparents also listed. Private burial at St Marys cemetery McCheryrstown following graveside service by Rev William Huygen.
Mrs Mabel Ferry Shellenberger 31 wife of Rufus Shellenberger died Saturday at 2 45 after a ten day illness from pneumonia. She was a member of Christ Lutheran church. David M. Wolf of Baltimore died Saturday afternoon at 2 20 from a illness due to diseases at his home 2306 West Rogers Avenue. He was born near Abbottstown in Adams county and once worked with his father at J George Wolfs Sons in Gettysburg. In 1909 he moved to Baltimore and rose to vice president and treasurer of Canton Lumber Co. He leaves two daughters Mrs Harry C Trace and Elizabeth A Wolf a sister Mrs Lucy A Weaver and two brothers the Rev L W Wolf and S A Wolf.
Robert W. Troop 24 of Spring Grove died after his car overturned on the Lincoln highway west of York. He succumbed at West Side hospital from a skull fracture after the 2 am accident. Traffic will stay on the Lincoln highway east of the area as 5.1 miles of rebuilding proceed at a cost of 314230 dollars and 15 cents. Counts from the 1936 primary voting remained unchanged after officials completed tabulation of votes on April 28.
