Daniel C. Jacobs of Arendtsville was re elected president of the Adams County school directors association at the close of the thirty ninth annual convention held at Gettysburg High School Friday. Other officers chosen include EF C Livingston first vice president and H W Weikert alternates. The session featured a play by named participants, a valentine party, and remarks by Prof J K Stewart and D E Crosley on what constitutes a good school and financing public education.

Raymond Shank, Adams county superintendent of schools, told directors to visit their schools and determine how many eighth grade pupils have passed. He noted 242 teachers in the county with 42 college certified, 105 normal, 77 standard, 15 partial elementary, and 4 emergency certifications.
