The Hanover council Friday night approved two mill increases lifting general taxes from 12 to 14 mills and boosting the sinking fund from 2 to 4 mills, the second rise in a year. Burgess vetoes were overridden on two ordinances concerning committee appointment by the president and police salaries toward 65 and 60 dollars per month for Chief Crabbs and Officer Berkheimer. Ocal Boy Scouts mark the national tenth anniversary with National Good Turn Week urging daily good turns, and the Hanover Post American Legion plans a Lincoln birthday dance Thursday.
