Arrest Father For Failing To Support Kiddies
Calvin Carey of New Oxford R 3 was charged with failing to support four minor children. Trooper G A Hahn and Constable C H Wilson arrested him Tuesday afternoon. In default of 300 bail, Carey was committed to Adams county jail. His wife died last year and several children live with his sister in law, Mrs Ernest Carey.

Shenk Fined in Hamptons Liquor and Gambling Case
Chester Shenk of near Hanover faced three hearings before Alderman N. C. May on charges of possessing and manufacturing liquor and operating gambling machines. He posted bail for April court on the liquor charge and paid a $14 fine plus costs for the gambling charge. His service station restaurant was raided Feb 6 by Deputy E. R. Jacoby, yielding 427 bottles of beer, a quart of liquor, and two coin operated machines.
