Public notice lists 166 horses and mules with prices from 25 to 100 dollars per pair. Stock includes 20 head weekly and 10 fat mares, some soundness issues noted. Buyers urged to inspect stock at the main office and stable 2828 Pennsylvania Avenue Baltimore.
On February 15 1912 Ammon McIntire will sell at public auction on the M C Myers farm near New Chester road Mount Pleasant township 24 miles NW of New Oxford. Livestock and farm implements include horses mules cattle hogs wagons gear plows binders cultivators planters and additional equipment with 11 months credit or 5 percent discount for cash. Clerks listed as B Crist Straley & Cashman.
The February 6 regular council session noted no crushed stone deliveries since the prior meeting. Bills for Telephone pole tax 1911 were ordered sent. water issues included burst pipes, shutoffs at vacated sites, and a request to keep the bluestone pumping active. The artesian well at 255 feet deep was tested. Gould Mfg. Co. rep inspected. Felix Ginter to pump until April 1, 1912 at $15 monthly plus $3 for bluestone. Janitor payments discussed. quarterly payment approved. Treasurer reported $132,809 total, $67,109 water and $657 borough. Finance committee to fill Hersh vacancy. bills examined totaling $57.37, with $44.50 for artesian well drilling and $38 for water bond tax.
The Mauch Chunk News reports the First Reformed church Cantata and Play In the House of Simon based on Luke 7 36 48 drew an overflow audience last evening. Rev P E Heimer and wife led the program with Hs ter Heimer presiding at the organ. Due to high interest a repeat performance is planned Sunday evening. Heimer and family once served as pastor of St. Paul Reformed in New Oxford for seven years.
Mrs Theo I Warner of The Maples left Monday for several weeks with her parents in Baltimore. Mrs William Altland of East Berlin and Mrs Oscar Jacobs and son near Thomasville were over Sunday visitors to Mrs W A Feiser in town. Grace Neely of Harrisburg visited aunt Mrs Augustus Feiser in Philadelphia street. Mary Shank of Annville is with Dr H W Swartz’s family on Philadelphia street. Rebecca Caster near town visits Spring Grove.
The undersigned announces the sale of his warehouse business to Messrs J R and Paul D Weaver. He thanks the public for past patronage and directs future orders to the successors who will serve promptly. Dated June 8.

Smith wed near Two Taverns, and John Menchey with Florence Crouse marry in Littlestown Lutheran parsonage.
John Strawsbaugh and Mrs. Mary Smith of Hanover wed Sunday at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church Hanover. Rev. Fr. Huber officiated the ceremony. The bride is the stepdaughter of Mrs. Jerome Miller of near town.
Robert N. Klinger of Littlestown and Miss Reba A. Smith of Baltimore were married Saturday by Rev. Dr. J. T. Rossiter. The groom has long worked in the Adams County Independent office at Littlestown, and they will reside there.
Mr H K Schnell suffered a vertigo attack during Sunday school at First Lutheran Church and recovered after medical help. Two Wagner children on Carlisle Street had diphtheria. Mrs Wagner and infant son convalescing while Mrs Klingel and Mr Hersh remain in fragile condition as town illnesses improve.
Edward Willet of McSherrystown recovering from appendicitis after surgery at York Hospital Friday night. Charles E. Staffle of Gettysburg named to the Advisory Board of the Pennsylvania State Branch of the National Conservation Association, led by A. B. Farquhar of York. Mrs. Gregory Neider dies at 29 in Hanover after ten days of double pneumonia and inflammatory rheumatism. Seven people in Gettysburg under health surveillance after visits to Harrisburg hospital where a smallpox case occurred. Surveillance list includes Rev J B Baker, Mrs C D Stallemith and daughter, Miss Jennie Howard, Harry Fidler of Straban, Mrs C E Stailsmith of near Granite Station, and Francie Stallemith.
Mrs Harry Breighner of Brushtown slipped and fell on icy pavement in Hanover Tuesday morning and was rendered unconscious for a few moments. She recovered and continued on her way.
A Atlantic City family of John Lewis at 1708 Oakland Avenue faced a deadly breakfast incident after oatmeal and milk left from the night before were served. Elmer and Ruth Emma died, Winfield is critically ill, and three other children plus the mother and father are hospitalized but slowly recovering. Coroners Taggart and Detective Thorpe investigate the cause.
John D Rockefeller and Frank Rockefeller appear in Cleveland municipal court over a chauffeur’s suit for 63 dollars. The chauffeur testifies that 20 family drivers receive 60 dollars monthly, the attorney questions John about his pay, and Frank says they have not spoken in twelve years. The chauffeur wins a judgment of 44.20 dollars, with Rockefeller planning an appeal.
Mount Pleasant Pennsylvania is shaken as coroner deputies seek James Keller a 50 year old world traveler after 16 year old telephone operator May Halley dies in a suspected foul play case. bruises abrasions and swelling indicate a struggle while poisoning is suspected though not self administered. Hazel Halley the sister reports dying statements tying Keller to the tragedy.
Dean Ambrose Moose, claimed as the biggest man in Pennsylvania, died at his Mt. Sarbon home. He weighed 525 pounds, stood five feet ten inches, measured three feet across the shoulders and exceeded five feet in girth.

Thomas Fenton, at his Chester home, was wounded when a protruding hatpin from his wife’s hat pierced his abdomen while he reached for his overcoat. He walked two blocks before collapsing in the hall. Sunbury, Pa. poolroom and bowling alley owner Harry E. Miller was robbed and fatally shot in his shop. His sister found him in a bloodied pool of the floor after he failed to return home Saturday. Police arrested 18 year old Frederick Nye at Shamokin on suspicion.
Frank T Coffyn, the aviator and moving picture operator, piloted a hydro aeroplane over New York Harbor for twenty minutes. He intended to fly over the city however strong winds prevented the plan.

After two weeks of persistent hiccoughs James Kerr aged seventy five died in Latrobe Pennsylvania from exhaustion. Doctors could not relieve his condition.

Poultry prices steady with hens 14 to 16 cents, old roosters 10 cents, turkeys 14 to 16 cents live. dressed fowls 16 cents, old roosters 17, turkeys 20 to 21 cents. Butter creamery firm at 38 to 41 cents, near 37. Western oats 37 cents. Brin and bush barley prices noted at 1.15 to 1.18.
Prices for cattle include choice prime at 7.65 and 7 as quoted. Sheep show prime workers and culls with lambs 4 to 6.75. Hogs trade higher with primes and heavies about 6.60 to 6.65, mediums and light hogs around 6.15 to 6.25.
