Damages Totals Set In Two Daugh ters Suit In York County Court
The York County court Monday morning awarded Romayne Martin and Jeannette Martin combined damages of 16 800 to cover car loss, death of husband and sister, and medical costs after a Coyle truck driven by John J. Shenk Jr. smashed into a Martin car near Bonnesville. Mrs Martin and her other daughter were injured and her husband and one daughter were killed in the crash. The settlement designates 6 766 66 for Mrs Martin, 6 266 67 for Romayne, and 3 906 67 for Jeannette, with guardian Faith Paroled named for the two girls. Dr Bruce N Wolff testified on injuries, noting Romayne will bear a lifelong forehead scar.

Separation case assails feme sole trader status in Dicks matter
In township court a feme sole trader status was sought for Mrs. Dicks who testified that she and her husband Charles N. Dicks have been separated since 1925 and she has been sole support of jointly owned property. After the hearing attorneys J Francis Yakeo for Mrs Dicks and Eugene V Bullett for Mr Dicks were instructed to file briefs within ten days.

Veterans receive state aid under Readjustment Act
One hundred ten Adams county veterans collected 2197 for the week ending February 2 under the Service Men’s Readjustment Act, state treasurer Ramsey S. Black reports. Twenty two checks totaling 400 were issued for Adams county unemployment. direct relief payments to counties for the week ending Friday totaled 45.60, up 54.30 from the prior week.
