Retained Head of Democratic Women Re-elected

Miss Edna Ficholtz of Gettysburg was re elected president of the Adams County Democratic Women's Club at the annual election meeting in the court house Friday evening. Officers named include Mrs Harvey Bollinger as vice president Mrs John Sheffer as secretary and Mrs Nicholas Redding as treasurer. Plans were made for a February card party and a March covered luncheon social.

Eugene Bixler Held for Court on Burglary Charge

Eugene Bixler of New York City and formerly of McSherrystown was held for county court after a hearing before Justice I. R. Witmer on burglary charges. He had been arrested in connection with thefts at J. W. Fischer and Company in Hanover, including cameras and flashlights.

Quarantine Opens in Adams County Townships Over Bovine TB

Ten Adams County townships including Latimore Menaldlen Huntington Tyrone Reading Buller Straban Hamilton Cumberland and Mt Joy are under a modified tuberculosis quarantine. Cattle from accredited herds or TB-free herds may enter with health certificates and tuberculin test charts, with slaughter or exhibition rules for specific categories.

Man Freed Of Liquor Count In Gettysburg Court

Walter Rickard of Gettysburg was acquitted by a jury of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. Jurors were seated for a civil action trial next.
