Adams County superintendent Prof J Floyd Slaybaugh announced the results of December’s county wide reorganization of 33 school boards. Presidents and vice presidents were elected. treasurers and secretaries serve one and four year terms. Bad Checks Put Cumberland Man in County Jail
Raymond Shriver, about 43, of Cumberland township, was jailed Monday by Constable Rush Weaver on two fraudulent check charges before Justice of the Peace John C. Shearer. Bail set at 500. Prosecutions cited two cases: Quintin Topper, near Fairfield, alleged a $30 check for peaches on August 26. and R Dale Bream, Cashtown, alleged a $3 check for gasoline and shells on December 11. Both checks drawn on the First National Bank of Gettysburg.

Relief Cases Opened in County
Fifteen relief cases opened in the county week ending 1904 with expenditures of 716.59. Thirty-one relief applications were received, one case closed due to private employment. Donald C Stallsmith, custodian of the Harry M Stahle fund, handed on ninety 150-cent pieces in Gettsyburg. A scene of nearly 109 percent was observed before 10 o’clock, as distributions were announced.
