Livingstons Dairy Club Banquet in New Oxford Hall

J Roy Waltman dies after illness in New Oxford

John Leroy Roy Waltman 67 of 115 Carlisle St New Oxford died Thursday night at Warner Hospital after a three day stay. A native of Adams County he was a son of Henry and Abbie Waltman and spent years as a farmer before becoming a butcher at Noel's Meat Market in New Oxford since 1925.

East Berlin speeder halted on railroad tracks

Marlin P. Newcomer, 19, fled a York City cruiser Sunday night, driving 150 feet on Pennsylvania Railroad tracks near South Pershing Ave in York before stopping. Distant Subscription Rate To Be Raised

The mail subscription rate for subscribers outside Adams York and Cumberland Counties increases to 3 per year effective January 1 1957. Rates within Adams York Cumberland Counties stay unchanged and single copy price remains five cents.
