The Hanover Drove Yard Company declared its annual dividend of percent payable after January 1, 1908. At the People's Bank board meeting of December 24, a semi annual dividend of percent was declared and $2508 added to the surplus, making total funds $22,800.
Mrs Marry D Little of near Gettysburg is set to inherit about 106000 from a Mrs Little who died in Tennessee without issue. The estate totals at least 400000 and heirs include John R Smith of Treoton NJ and John S Smith Greenewalt of Dayton OH with Mrs Littick near Gettysburg as the grand niece.

Miss Aimelis BH Eichelberger as magipistratrix of Capt A W Eichelberger deceased sold at public sale multiple properties in York and Adams counties. The list includes Heidelberg township farm No 1 and adjoining No 3 to Frey and others, Oxford and Mountpleasant townships parcels to De Jone Kru z Fleming Delone and Gimes, with prices per acre ranging from 23 to 1850.
In Ocean City New Jersey on a December Saturday Morris H Moore died when repairing severed electric lines atop a pole at a camp ground. While onlookers watched he formed a circuit and the voltage passed through him causing instantaneous death as crew freed him from the cross bar. The cottage of Rev S Wesley Lake was being moved and wires were cut during the operation.
Frank Schmidt of Alientown shot and killed his 25 year old son-in-law John Grigan late on December 23 in Easton. A quarrel a week earlier led to Grigan's arrest for assault. the case had just been dropped by a justice of the peace. Later that evening Schmidt confronted Grigan on the street and killed him before taking his own life.
Dresden dispatch reports the Saxony crown princess fled Salzburg with her ladies in waiting after domestic strife. An official note says she disappeared overnight December 11 12 secret searches spread across Europe. Authorities suspect mental derangement though court intrigue with an actress linked to her husband is alleged.
Boston reports a disaster when six crewmen died and four perished from exposure after two boats carrying crews of twenty one sank in Massachusetts Bay. Survivors were rescued by the schooner Manhassett forty five miles off Aland Light. Owners Frank A. Palmer and Louise B. Crary were later identified. The wreck left others frostbitten and one man insane before rescue.
A rear end collision near Byron California between the Los Angeles owl train and the Stockton local killed nineteen and injured twenty seven. Fire and steam hindered survivors as the Stockton engine plowed into the rear coach. A flagman warned the oncoming train but braking proved insufficient.
In Harrisburg on December 22 a 10 year old girl Anna Lynch playing with a revolver fatally shot her 2 year old brother Edward at their residence. The incident occurred in the city yesterday according to local reports.
Halifax reports that after eight secret experiments Marconi announced successful trans oceanic wireless transmission from Canada to England. Messages were forwarded to King Edward VII and the King of Italy. Earlier tests reached 2,100 miles from Newfoundland to Cornwall and 2,300 miles from Canada to Cornwall. The London Times later confirmed receipt of a wireless message from Marconi at Cape Breton.
Valtantine Le Cleyre a noted anarchist and language teacher was mortally wounded by Herman Helscher, a former pupil, who confessed they were sweethearts and that she broke his heart. The shooting occurred on a street corner in broad daylight, witnessed by many. Le Cleyre, known for anarchist writings and ties to Emma Goldman, had recently moved from Michigan. her mother reportedly lives in the West.
