Woman's Will Contested in Local Probate Suit
Caveat proceedings against the probate of the late Lydia Lovina Peters of Huntington township are filed by her son J Frank Peters of Atlantic City who stands to gain 100 under the will. Peters is the sole child and beneficiary after funeral expenses costs and executor John P Myers Hampton. The will valued at about 14000 faces challenge from William Hersh Peters’ attorney alleging unsound mind in 1919 though executors say Peters was mentally capable but displeased with her son. The failure to file a bond within ten days after objecting to probate allowed Myers Hampton to receive letters testamentary. The will was filed for probate on Tuesday.
